Open Enrollment 2025-2026 is closed and no new Open Enrollment applications will be accepted during the school year.
Open Enrollment for 2026-2027 is closed and no new Open Enrollment applications will be accepted during the school year.
Guidelines for All Open Enrollment Students
Only a parent or guardian who has legal custody of the student may apply for open enrollment. (Proof of legal custody will need to be provided if applicable)
Transportation to and from school is the responsibility of the family.
No tuition fees are charged, but students must pay normal classroom fees.
Students must adhere to all Field Local School district code of conduct policies.
Regular attendance is a key factor.
Students currently open enrolled to Field Local Schools may be denied open enrollment in a subsequent year if they accumulate ten (10) or more unexcused absences or are suspended or expelled (10) consecutive or more days during the school year.
Applications will only be accepted if all the required paperwork is attached.
Any application that is turned in without the required paperwork will not be considered.
The Open Enrollment Renewal Application Process:
Applications are mailed out in mid-March to current Open Enrolled students.
Applications will be available on the school's website (District Forms) on March 16, 2026.
A separate application is to be submitted for each student, if more than one.
2 proofs of residency are required for renewal applications. 1 proof of residency must be a signed lease, or a mortgage statement dated within the last 30 days. The 2nd proof of residency can be a gas, water, electric, sewer or waste removal bill, bank statement, pay stub, cable bill, internet bill, landline bill, homeowner/renters’ insurance, deed, or property tax statement.
The final due date for all applications and all required paperwork is Friday May 15, 2026
NEW Kindergarten Open Enrolled Students at Suffield Elementary:
Field will only be accepting NEW open enrolled students for kindergarten at Suffield Elementary. Students must be the age of 5 by 9/8/2026 for the 2026/2027 school year.
NEW Open Enrollment Kindergarten student applications are accepted IN PERSON only at the Administration office located at 2900 State Route 43 Door #5. No email or facsimiles will be accepted.
- If applying for a NEW application, Field will also need a copy of the birth certificate, copy of driver’s license of parent applying & if applicable, court stamped custody papers.
- 2 proofs of residency are required for all applications. 1 proof of residency must be a signed lease, or a mortgage statement dated within the last 30 days. The 2nd proof of residency can be a gas, water, electric, sewer or waste removal bill, bank statement, pay stub, cable bill, internet bill, landline bill, homeowner/renters’ insurance, deed, or property tax statement.
- If the student has an IEP, MFE or a 504 plan, a current copy must accompany the application to be considered for approval.

Please make sure other arrangements are made in advance in the event of denial. For the 2026/2027 school year, students will need to be the age of 5 by 9/8/26.
