Class Description:

This elective will provide students with an overview of the legal and court systems. We will discuss Criminal and Juvenile Law, Property Law and your rights as a citizen. Students will work in small groups for most assignments and review on a weekly basis actual juvenile case studies and make group recommendations for sentencing. Their final project will be a research paper on a landmark case of their choosing.  This course is offered in the spring semester of the 2015-2016  school year.

    8. Criminal Justice: The Trial
    9. Sentencing & Corrections
    10.Juvenile Justice
    11.Torts: Civil Wrongs
    12.Family Law
