Levy Committee News
Please join us on Wednesday, April 5 at 6:30 for our next Levy committee meeting. We will meet at Suffield Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. You are invited to join us for our first fundraiser immediately following the meeting where we will be offering items from Premier Designs.  We hope to see you there.

Voter Registration News

Voter Registration

Do you need to register to vote? Please call or drop by any school office to request a registration form or you may register online at the Portage County Board of Elections website @ http://www.co.portage.oh.us/election/Current_Election-Menu.htm. If you plan to vote in the primary election on May 2, the deadline to register is April 3.

Absentee Ballots

Any qualified voter may request and vote an absentee ballot by mail. Absentee ballot request forms are available at any school office or voters may request one online at the Portage County Board of Elections website @ http://www.co.portage.oh.us/election/Current_Election-Menu.htm. Portage County residents should mail their completed applications to the Portage County Board of Elections at Portage County Administration Bldg. 449 South Meridian St. Rm. 101 Ravenna, Ohio 44266 no later than April 29. Applicants will receive an official ballot by US mail closer to election time. Completed ballots must be returned to the Board of Elections by mail no later than May 1.

2017-2018 Board Approved School Calendar

 
NEW 2017/2018 OPEN ENROLLMENT
Open Enrollment is now being accepted for the 2017/2018 school year. Completed applications may be returned to the Superintendent's Office located at door #5 at Field High School.   Click on this application link to print your copy. Copies are also available at all school offices throughout the district. ALL NEW APPLICANTS MUST PROVIDE A COPY OF THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND TWO (2) CURRENT PROOFS OF RESIDENCY TO BE PROCESSED.  Brimfield Elementary will not be accepting new Open Enrollment applications this year.


 
Prom 2017 image Prom 2017

"Back to the Twenties", will be the theme for Field's Junior/Senior Prom.  Prom will be held on Saturday, May 13.  It will be from 6-11 pm at St. Nicholas Hall.  Tickets will be on sale April 24 - May 4 during all lunch periods.  Tickets also may be purchased before or after school in the main office.  Cost is $40 per ticket and dinner is included.


 
Maplewood Busing Calamity Day Procedure

In the event that Field Local Schools is closed and Maplewood is not due to the weather, busses will not transport students to Maplewood.  It will be the responsibility of the student and/or parent to transport. If Field Local Schools is on a two-hour delay, busses will transport to Maplewood two hours later than the normal departure time.  If you have any questions, please call the Administration Office or the Bus Garage.

 

 
High School Student emails

 All students whose parent gave them permission for an email account now have access to these accounts.  They may be used to email staff only and will be helpful when using Google classroom.  Students may find this on the Google homepage or using the Gmail app.

High School Assembly Update

 When class periods are shortened due to assemblies, students with early dismissal may leave at the end of their regularly scheduled period.  This maybe earlier than their normal release time for school.  Students who have transportation problems are always permitted to stay in study hall and all students are encouraged to stay for assemblies.  We will put assembly schedules on our website for your convenience. 


 
Student Drop Off & Pick Up Procedure

If you are dropping your student off in the morning, please drop them off at Door #1.  Students are able to wait in the foyer until 7:15 a.m. and then will be able to go into the cafeteria before being released to go into the building at 7:30 a.m.

If you are picking your student up at the end of the school day, please pick your student up in the front of the High School Building.

-Set up an account to pay fees now!
-Deposit money at your convenience into your child's lunch account or fee account
-Set email reminders to notify you when your child's lunch account gets low
-Check your child's account balances
-View an activity report so you can see what your child has eaten in the previous 30 days

To set up an account, all you will need is:
-A valid email address
-A credit card or ACH Check Information
-Your child's student identification number

Each child in your family can be set up on the same account.  As before, there is a convenience fee charge.  3.9% per transaction for Visa/MasterCard or $1.75 for electronic check.

Girl Talk  image Girl Talk
Join us every Tuesday, from 3:00-4:00 in the MS Library for Girl Talk. Girl Talk(www.mygirltalk.org) is an international non-profit peer-to-peer mentoring program with a very simple premise: high school girls mentor middle school girls to help them deal with the issues they face during their early teenage years.
