FIELD SCHOOL DISTRICT
INTER-DISTRICT OPEN ENROLLMENT
The Field Local Schools' Board of Education permits the enrollment of students from any Ohio District in a school or program in this district, providing each enrollment is in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State concerning Inter-District Open Enrollment, the provisions of board policy, and the administrative guidelines established to implement this policy. Students who attend based on Open Enrollment do not have to pay tuition.
Each year Field Local receives many open enrollment applications. Applications will be considered on an individual basis according to the order in which they are received and based on capacity limits set for each grade level. We will not overcrowd our classrooms. In some instances, such as kindergarten, it may be necessary to establish a waiting list, and if we have space available, we will accept a limited number of students.
Applications for open enrollment will be accepted annually from the first Monday in February through the second Friday in June. Students must apply for open enrollment on an annual basis. Students currently attending Field Schools through open enrollment will automatically receive an application in the mail the first week of March. All applications need to be returned to the Superintendents office before the second Friday in June. In most cases (except Kindergarten) students will be notified in June of their acceptance for the 2013-2014 school year. Kindergarten application will not be considered until after Labor Day, September 3, 2013.
