Green Parent Mentor's Provider Expo - Feb. 23rd

Join us at the Parent Mentor's Provider Expo during the Celebration of Education to learn of opportunities and services available to our families.  Visit us at the Northeast quadrant of Green High School on February 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Pick up your free gift from the Parent Mentor table.  A special "I need a Break Room" to relax will be offered in Room 127.  Click here for more a flyer on the event!

Hit It! -(Hearing Impaired Teens Interacting Together) Meetings - March 1, 2019

Our Mission is to offer a safe environment for teens who have hearing loss to learn about hearing loss, technology, coping strategies and support in order to become their #1 advocate. OSDA Northeast Regional Meeting - March 21st

Join us on March 21, 2019 at the Elks Lodge, 776 N. Freedom St, Ravenna, Ohio  44266 for two presentations by OSDA (Ohio Self Determination Association) Northeast Regional Meeting.  Registration starts at 9:30 a.m., there will be two presentations "Speak Up Stay Safe" and "Discussion: A Voice for Our Rights - Portage County Self-Advocates".

Hit It! -(Hearing Impaired Teens Interacting Together) Meetings - April 13th

SPECIAL EVENT - MARK YOUR CALENDAR for Middle and High School students who have a hearing loss!  The last meeting is a SPECIAL EVENT at the University of Akron on Saturday, April 13th and a Bowling Event right after!  We have partnered with the University of Akron Student Academy of Audiology to offer this event.  This is an event for BOTH parents and their teen/tween with hearing loss.  The event will be held at the University of Akron's Speech and Hearing Clinic.  During  this event, you will have the opportunity to learn about hearing assistive technology talk to a college student accessibility service representative, ask many questions about attending any college and ask questions about getting a job.  There will be a trivia game and time for Q and A as well.  Breakfast and Lunch will be provided as well!!  Register by emailing Dr, Carrie Spangler at carries@summitesc.org,  Dr. Jessica Hoefler at jessicah@summitesc.org, or Dr. Lauren Tomas at laurent@summitesc.org.  More +

Summit Educational Service Center Pre School Program at Field Local Schools

Field Local Schools has partnered with Summit Educational Service Center to provide Field's preschoolers with the best start to their educational experiences. The integrated program is for children ages 3-5 and offered to children at economic disadvantage or educational risk, children typically developing, and children with disabilities. Where To Go For Immunizations - Portage County

Does you or your child need immunizations ?  Here are locations you can go for immunizations.  No Appointments needed.
1. Portage County Health Department, 705 Oakwood Street, Ravenna.  Nursing Clinic-2nd Floor.  Every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  330-298-4490.
2. Kent City Health Department, 414 East Main Street, Kent. 3rd Wednesday of the month from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
3. Windham Renaissance Family Center, 9005 Wilverne Dr, Windham.  4th Tuesday of the month from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

If you are in need of shoes for your child, Salvation Army offers the "Shoes On My Feet" program that provides vouchers for school shoes and winter boots for children Kindergarten through High School in Portage County.
