2018 Tallmadge Little League Challenger Division - Registration Deadline - March 2nd, 2018

Everyone Plays!  Our Mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals with intellectual and physical challenges to enjoy the benefits of Little League participation in an environment structured to their abilities.  Register by March 2nd! Any individual from 4-18 years old can participate in the Little League Challenger Division.  All players bat and play defensively every inning. Games usually last about one hour and no score is kept.  Volunteer Buddies assist players as needed.  Buddies need to be at least 12 years of age.  Buddies are always needed. Building A Frame For Behavior At Home - March 8th, 2018

Exceptional in Two Ways - March 10th, 2018

Exceptional in Two Ways: Understanding, Supporting & Connecting Gifted Children Who Have Learning Needs conference.  The focus of this conference is to provide education and awareness regarding Twice Exceptional children.  Twice Exceptional refers to students who are identified in one or more areas of giftedness AND also give evidence of one or more disabilities as defined by federal or state guideline.  Topics will include: Executive Functioning, Parent/Self Advocacy, Social Emotional Support, Identity Development and Gifting Operating Standards.  Join us at Summit ESC, 420 Washington Ave, Cuyahoga Falls, Oh on March 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There is a $35.00 charge which included lunch.  Register online: http://SummitESC.org/Events More +

The ABC's of ABA - March 15th, 2018

"ABC's of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) - Facts and Misconceptions", presented by Rachel Krauss, BCBA and Kristin Kitzmiller, BCaBA.  This FREE Workshop is for parents, school staff and anyone interested in learning more about ABA.  Participants will learn about Applied Behavior Analysis and its application in home and school settings.  The presentation will center around ABA as a science of behavior, the basic principles and strategies to incorporate those principles into every day life.  Participants will also discuss common misconceptions of ABA and be able to distinguish between facts and myths.  Please join us for this workshop at the ESC of Medina County, located at 124 W. Calling All Artists With Disabilities - Art Expo Event - Register by March 24th, 2018

Looking for Artist with Disabilities to participate in an unique arts event coming to the Akron area on April 7th, 2018.  This is an event that will feature solely artist with disabilities.  It is a way to network with other artists, share your work with the community and have fun!  REQUIREMENTS:  Must be an Ohio resident with a disability, need to be able to share at least three peices of work at the event.  Send photograph of work to email address alicia.hopkins85@gmail.com below before March 24th.  If you would like your photograph in the program please also send a headshot photograph as well.  You must be able to attend the arts expo April 7th, 2018 in Akron, Ohio.  Entry fee: Two canned food items.  More +

Field Local Schools has partnered with Summit County Educational Service Center to provide Field's preschoolers with the best start to their educational experiences. The integrated program is for children ages 3-5 and offered to children at economic disadvantage or educational risk, children typically developing, and children with disabilities.

Does you or your child need immunizations ?  Here are locations you can go for immunizations.  No Appointments needed.
1. Portage County Health Department, 705 Oakwood Street, Ravenna.  Nursing Clinic-2nd Floor.  Every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  330-298-4490.
2. Kent City Health Department, 414 East Main Street, Kent. 3rd Wednesday of the month from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
3. Windham Renaissance Family Center, 9005 Wilverne Dr, Windham.  4th Tuesday of the month from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
