Macbeth Timeline Project

Class Timeline Project

Due: Thursday, December 12

Content Standard: Determine two or more themes or central ideas of a text and analyze their development over the course of the text, including how they interact and build on one another to produce a complex account; provide an objective summary of the text.

  • The class timeline will ask each student in our class to choose ONE quote from the play, Macbeth, and to create an 8.5 X 11 vertical representation of that one quote for our class timeline.
  • The quote must connect to one of two themes / motifs we will be fleshing out: blood imagery OR fair is foul and foul is fair.
  • The quote must be approved by Mrs. Tenney to ensure only ONE student illustrates or elaborates on each quote.
  • The quote may be explained in ONE of two ways:
    • 1)The student may represent the quote visually through a piece of student-created artwork that portrays the quote or
    • 2) The student may write a paragraph-long explanation of how the quote connects to the larger theme’s or motif’s development in the work.
