Algebra II
During the first part of this year we will be doing a review of the skills students learned in Algebra I. After the review is completed we will begin graphing points on the coordinate plane and then graphing lines and linear functions.

During each grading period instruction includes becoming familiar with special vocabulary, classroom instruction, written practice as a class and independently, and assessment at the end of units. Beginning this year we will be using exit tickets at the end of each week to make sure each student has grasped the material before we move on to another topic.
Financial Algebra
During this year long class students will learn practical ways that we use Math in everyday life.  Topics will include taxes, loans, banking, buying on credit, credit & debit cards, budgeting and choosing a place to live. When we are teaching basic skills we will be using exit tickets each week to make sure students have an understanding of the skills before we move on to new material.

Assignments done in class will include several projects such as creating a floor plan, buying a large item on credit, developing a budget, and a career project where students will investigate possible careers and educational opportunities.
