Field High School Guidance Office

Guidance and counseling services are available in grades 9 through 12.  We have a one full time counselor and one counselor that is shared with the Middle School to assist students with their academic, career, and personal-social decisions.

Services provided by the guidance program are for ALL students.  The counselors are available for every student who wishes to discuss such matters as career planning, educational planning, and personal and social development.
 
Materials are available in the Guidance Office concerning areas of occupation or college information.   
The Guidance Department provides assistance to students and parents through a variety of activities which include:
                        a.  individual counseling
                        b.  high school course selection and scheduling
                        c.  career information services
                        d.  parent/teacher conferences
                        e.  testing and placement
                        f. transcript and record-keeping activities
                        g.  classroom presentations

College Credit Plus Night

Field High School will host a College Credit Plus Information Night on December 7, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the high school cafeteria. Ohio’s College Credit Plus can help you earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities. The purpose of this program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to college-ready students. Taking a college course from a public college or university College Credit Plus is free. That means no cost for tuition, books or fees if you attend public school in the state of Ohio. The College Credit Plus Program is open to students in grades 7 through 12. Students must meet the college admission standards to participate in the program. For more information contact Mr. Stockley in the high school Guidance Office.

 
 
College and Career Visits

Field High School is proud to offer our students the opportunity to meet with College and other Post-Secondary representatives during the day at school. We attempt to schedule these visitations during our lunch periods. However, if your child has a scheduled class during a visitation and would like to meet the representative, he/she must sign up in the  guidance office in order to participate in the presentation. Below is the list of schools scheduled to visit, along with the date, time and location. This list will be updated regularly. Please see your School Counselor with any questions.
