English 11

English 11
Class Description:
Welcome to American literature! Our focus will be on aspects of American life--family, nature, traditional patriotism, and protest (groups and individuals vs. society), and technology. Within each unit, we will read works of various time periods because, as we will see, while times may change, the fundamental aspects of human existence remain basically the same. We will read extensively ( inside and outside of class), do creative and analytical writing, discuss ideas in-depth, peer conference about writing, and conduct research on various topics.
