Bienvenidos a la Clase de Espanol
Bienvenidos a la Clase de Espanol
I'm SO very gald you've made the decision to put this language into your life! studying a foreign language opens your mind not only to a new way to communicate, but also to a whole different way of life. As we learn about the language of hispanic people we will also look at the variety of countries where they live, and the cultures and attitudes (ways of thinking) they bring with them.
It takes work to make yourself capable of READING, WRITING and SPEAKING this new language, so I hope you're ready because...  here we goooo!!!
Soy Yo
Me Presento

Hola!
I'm Terri Baker. This is my seventh year teaching Spanish for Field Local Schools. I previously taught 12 years for Kent Roosevelt, 2 years at KSU, and am also in my eighth year instructing for Akron University.
I grew up in Hudson, Ohio, so I am a local=)
I have both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Teaching degrees earned at Kent State. My husband and I were married in 1991 and have two adult children, one a Field graduate of 2014, and the other graduated from Kent Roosevelt in 2011.
I enjoy MANY outdoor activities, or a classic piece of literature by a fire on a cold evening. Teaching at FHS is a HUGE part of my life, and I can sincerely say that each student who passes through my classroom adds something new and wonderful to my experience, and I hope they take something special from here (even more than an appreciation of the Spanish language and culture) with them when they leave, wherever they may be headed.
